The BSCS Computer Lab currently has 30 networked workstations running Windows 7 Professional with Office 2010 Professional Plus & IE9. (+computers running  Windows8 & Ubuntu 11.04)

Other Applications currently available to the students include:

• Scholastic Reading Counts, Scholastic Reading Inventory, Scholastic Math Inventory (See ‘Scholastic Page’ under ‘Academics’)
• Kidspiration, Inspiration, SMART Notebook (works with our classroom SMART Boards)
• Windows Movie Maker Live & Audacity
• Pencil Animation & Google Sketch-up
• Browsers – Safari, Opera, Google Chrome, Firefox
• Microsoft Office Labs Ribbon Hero2
• QuickTime & iTunes
• Adobe Flash, Reader & Shockwave
• Java & Silverlight

The computer lab rules are as follows:

• Listen while the teacher is talking
• Do not touch your neighbor or their computer
• Ask before using the computer or internet for anything other than the assigned class work
• Remain in your seat unless you have permission to be out of it
• Do not go into the Computer Lab without supervision or staff instruction to do so

Consequences after a warning for not following the rules will typically include:

• Adjustment of computer, seat or assignment, as necessary

• Lunch detention, Demerit or more serious consequence
