The BSCS Computer Lab currently has 30 networked workstations running Windows 7 Professional with Office 2010 Professional Plus & IE9. (+computers running Windows8 & Ubuntu 11.04)
Other Applications currently available to the students include:
- Scholastic Reading Counts, Scholastic Reading Inventory, Scholastic Math Inventory (See ‘Scholastic Page’ under ‘Academics’)
- Kidspiration, Inspiration, SMART Notebook (works with our classroom SMART Boards)
- Windows Movie Maker Live & Audacity
- Pencil Animation & Google Sketch-up
- Browsers – Safari, Opera, Google Chrome, Firefox
- Microsoft Office Labs Ribbon Hero2
- QuickTime & iTunes
- Adobe Flash, Reader & Shockwave
- Java & Silverlight
The computer lab rules are as follows:
- Listen while the teacher is talking
- Do not touch your neighbor or their computer
- Ask before using the computer or internet for anything other than the assigned class work
- Remain in your seat unless you have permission to be out of it
- Do not go into the Computer Lab without supervision or staff instruction to do so
Consequences after a warning for not following the rules will typically include:
- Adjustment of computer, seat or assignment, as necessary
- Lunch detention, Demerit or more serious consequence

If your computer is giving you trouble, I would be glad to look at it for you. If I am unable to fix it I will point you in the right direction with some recommendations on what is needed.
